Lockheed Martin and Academy of Defense Industries agree to deliver defense sector training and localization in Kingdom of Saudi Arabia  

 

RIYADH, Saudi Arabia, Feb. 19, 2026 – Lockheed Martin (NYSE:LMT) and Academy of Defense Industries (ADI) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) at the World Defense Show, creating a framework for defense-focused training programs that aim to help Saudi Arabia localize more than 50 percent of its military spending by 2030.

 

Why it Matters:

  • The Lockheed Martin and ADI cooperation will explore development of defense training programs that vary in length and intensity to expand the readiness and understanding of cross-domain operations.
  • The collaboration will also examine the best delivery and assessment methods and development of training tracks that align to needs, mission requirements and emerging technology areas.
  • This initiative is focused on building local capacity and training expertise, all while supporting U.S. jobs and strengthening the global reach of the U.S. defense industrial base.
